Aye mon, an’ av bought a’ apple Air SuperDrive noo to replace ma ‘bag of hurt’ player. Why? Weel, I decided ah wanted to use an apple Mac Mini as ma media server bu’ as we all know, blu-ray ain’t supported. I bought an blu-ray external ODD to see if ah cood get i’ tar play ma blu-ray’s using http://www.macblurayplayer.com/ but it doesnae play all tha’ well — it stops an’ starts and isn’t a good so, B/R ODD returned, blu-ray movies are now sold an’ ahm gonae sell off my B/R player (full size tv player) an’ just use DVD’s.
So, here’s my set up: a Samsung LCD TV with an Apple Mac Mini, with an EyeTV DTT tuner (EyeTV software), an Apple Air SuperDrive to play DVDs, Magic Mouse, Apple Remote and an Apple Bluetooth keyboard.
So, I can watch DVD movies, watch catch-up TV, rent or buy movies and TV shows via iTunes and with the EyeTV, record movies and TV shows too. Next on the list to buy, weell mon, it’ll need to be a cinema screen! But an Apple track pad is next so that ah can use i’ wi ma MacBook Pro 15″ again tae play ma games!
Oh, bought Dirt 2 for Mac and it’s brilliant!
Weell, ahm of tae make a piece (sandwich to you posh folk) fur me dinner (lunch tae yeh sassenachs) Aye mon, the real Macjim oot an a’
Nice … so nice I’m thinking it deserves an Oooooooo
PS. The track pad for the media centre an’ th’ moose fur the MacBook Pro fur ma games! Aye
