The MacBites Live Chatroom
The legendary MacBites Live chatroom is THE place to be when there’s an Apple announcement. You’ll find Elaine, Mike and The MacBiters enjoying the friendly, vibrant environment and chatting and debating about the latest news from Cupertino.
Come along and join in the fun. Whether you want to speak, text chat or simply sit back and listen, everyone’s welcome!
You’ll find details of all the MacBites Live events in The MacBites Live Calendar.
Want to relive some of the previous MacBites Live events? We’ve put together a collection of highlights from all the Apple events we’ve covered…
A new iPhone, a new watch, an update to iWork (Elaine was so underwhelmed) and games demos in Japanese – just a typical Apple keynote event. Thanks to all the MacBiters who came along and joined in the chat!
Once again The MacBites Crew and the MacBiters came together to watch, listen and chat. There was definitely more chat though as we were less than impressed with what Apple served up.
Thanks to AppleLeaks there were no surprises this time. But we had fun in the chat and that’s what it’s all about – a bunch of Apple Geeks (aka The MacBiters) getting together to watch the event and provide our own analysis – which is usually more entertaining that the main event!
Two new iPhones, the iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil and a new AppleTv. Some games demos and some TV programmes. But the biggest surprise of the evening was the appearance of Microsoft on stage for the iPad demo.
What The Actual? From the video at the beginning to the guy from Beats (was he included in the transfer fee?) to Drake (who?). This definitely rated amongst the worst Keynotes for many years. Even Hairforce One looked uncomfortable.
The thinnest ever MacBook was announced along with the most expensive watch ever but that didn’t deter the MacBiters gathered in the chatroom from having fun. If you missed it, the video is right here!
There was plenty for the MacBiters gathered in the MacBites Live chatrooom to get excited about – and we don’t just mean Craig (who appeared to have drunk a gallon-full of coffee or was high on a sugar rush!)
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were announced along with the iWatch. However, all this was overshadowed by the Truck Event testcard, a Chinese simultaneous translation & the great U2 album-giveaway.
WWDC 2014 was where Apple introduced us to iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite and Craig Federighi, Apple’s Senior VP of Software Engineering delivered most of the main two hour presentation. Definitely one for the ladies!
